I can’t seem to stop myself from watching this: FlickrSpy – The Flickr Peepshow.
“FotoMaps is a new flash photo gallery that lets you put your photos on a map. Choose any map you like, then place each photo at the exact location where it was taken.”
Very entertaining post on The Design Disease. It’s funny because of how true it is and I can clearly tell that Tim has the disease. He’s always saying things like: “That signs kerning is off!” “At least they are using Helvetica.” and “Have I told you about the H&R Block logo?” (as we drive by the building).
Looking for an easy way to boost your productivity? Then turn on your instant messenger and head on over to IMified, a new service that enables users to access services like Basecamp, Google Calendar, and Remember the Milk from an instant messaging client. Now, I know that instant messaging can be a huge productivity killer, but you’re going to want to turn that client back on for this. With IMified, users can manage todo lists, save notes, create reminders, and even add milestones to a Basecamp project. Just send an instant message to IMified and you’re good to go. You don’t even have to create an account. What’s most appealing about IMified for me is that I can manage tasks and add messages to Basecamp without opening a browser window. I’m also loving the note taking application built into IMified which works similar to Sabifoo, another instant messaging buddy built specifically for note taking.
ZDNet has an excellent video on Scaling an Internet Architecture. Definitely worth a watch if you want to learn about vertical and horizontal scaling. (via 9rules Notes)
