MediaPortal is an amazing and free media center for your PC. You are given the ability to watch TV, listen to the radio or your own music, view pictures and movies, get the weather forcast. You can also launch games, browsers, email clients, and other external programs. Burn CD’s, view Recipes, set alarms… okay the list goes on and on. I recommend taking a look at this if you are interested in having a PC Media Center. Excellent.

MediaPortal turns your PC in a very advanced Multi-Media Center / HTPC.
It allows you to listen to your favorite music & radio, watch your video’s and DVD’s, view, schedule and record live TV and much more. You get Media Portal for free/nothing/nada/nopes and best of all it is opensource. This means anyone can help developing Media Portal or tweak it for their own needs!”
