Task Coach is an excellent task management application that is for Windows Operating Systems. The application has a nice interface that is very easy to use and understand. It may looks small, but it is packed with features that I have been looking for in a task management solution.

Task Coach is a simple open source todo manager to manage personal tasks and todo lists. It grew out of my frustration that well-known task managers, such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things todo consist of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with composite tasks.

I am going to stop using a Web Based task manager (like TaskToy) for a week to see how I like using Task Coach instead. The only problem about it being an application on the computer is that I cannot access the data from a different computer.

Task Coach also has a great feature called, Budget. Basically, when you create a task, you are given the option to set a budget time. You say, I will start this task on this date. I am giving my self x amount of time to complete it (my budget time). When you create the task, start the timer, and your on your way. Great Task Manager.
