WinRoll is a very interesting application that will allow you to actually roll your windows up to the title bar saving you space. When you right click on a windows title bar, it will make the window minimize and only show the title bar (like you may see on some flash websites). At first, I thought it may be a little annoying, but really, I like it and found it helpful when working on something. A document is behind the current window, roll it, look at the document, then roll it back.

Make a window roll into its title bar, send it to the back or make it stay on top. Minimize, maximize or close all visible windows, including minimizing to the tray area. Make a window translucent on Windows 2000 or above. WinRoll is lovingly hand-crafted in 100% pure assembly language to give the fastest response and the smallest memory footprint. WinRoll is proudly a FREEWARE and OPEN SOURCE application.

You are also given the ability to make windows transparent. In the options you set the amount of transparency you would like to use. Then on any window open, middle click using the mouse wheel and it will become transparent. You can also roll it when its transparent. Both features are helpful and work well together.
